Question: Heroes resumes production this week, so it only seems fair that you give us some scoop.— Janine

Ausiello: I caught up with Hayden Panettiere at last Thursday's Entourage premiere and she revealed that the first episode picks up four months after the finale. "A lot of things happened [during those four months] that people don't know about," she teased. "A lot of things changed and people will be like, 'Whoa!'" Hayden also hinted that someone did not survive the season-ending bloodbath, but check this out: NBC is holding a Heroes press conference tomorrow on the show's set and all primary cast members will be present and accounted for. That includes Santiago Cabrera, Jack Coleman, Greg Grunberg, Ali Larter, Masi Oka, Hayden Panettiere, Adrian Pasdar, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Leonard Roberts and Milo Ventimiglia. Hey, wait a second — someone is missing from that list!

Luisa in Las Vegas: Do we know how HRG will align himself, good-versus-evil-wise, in season two?

With Heroes you can only expect the unexpected, but Jack Coleman told us, "I would like to see HRG put his pretty elaborate and nefarious skill set to use for good, but not too good. I don't want to saint him. I'd like to have a little bit of an edge, still morally gray and willing to cross the line. He is more fun when he's a little bit on the edge." Damn straight, sir. Damn straight.

Alex in Santa Barbara, California: I think I'm gonna die if Heroes doesn't come back soon. Do you have any scoop to tide me over?

We can tell you what Greg Grunberg wants to see happen to his character, Matt Parkman, in season two: "I really hope I get into a position of power, like a detective or something like that, and I would love to just continue along the lines of what I'm doing. I hope that my powers evolve into something where I could suck someone's sense of humor or language. It would be a really cool thing to do. Instead of just reading their minds, like manipulate them once, put messages in their heads."

I was so glad to hear that Greg would be back on the show for season 2.  I like that ho.  And yes...he's a hot bitch too.  I'm still wondering who that cast member they said wouldn't be back is.  I thought for a second it could be Greg.  I can sleep peacefully now.  Damn, now who's left that was left in peril in the season finale: Milo & Leonard.  We know Adrian, Zachary and Greg will be back.  Damn it...who is it?

Of the Heroes Origins episodes,  writer Jeph Loeb told IFMagazine that some characters introduced in those episodes may not even live to join the frey!  Can we assume we might finally learn the source of some of Sylar's powers?

Ever notice how cockroaches appear whenever Sylar is in trouble.  Seems the bugs might be the minions of the thousand year old super evil dude Kane who joins Heroes this season.  The part is rumored to be played by David Anders of Alias fame.  Kane has a keen interest in young Sylar.  Rescue bugs.  Who knew!?

Nathan Lives!  Adrian Pasdar confirmed multiple times while traveling with Masi Oka that Nathan will be back next season.

Ando will return.   Hiro will spend a little time in the past to refine his skills under his personal Hero's tutorledge, but when he returns he will definitely return to Japan to rescue his buddy Ando from the cubicle jungles.

Hiro will find a love interest in feudal Japan, and may bring her back to the future with untold consequences. The part of Hiro’s damsel in distress may be played by none other than the recently crowned Miss Universe Riyo Mori.

As long as you have a character like Hiro, death is most certainly not the end for you on Heroes.  On that note, expect to see more Isaac, Simone, and Simone's dad in season two as Peter (now equipped with time tripping abilities) journeys into the past to unravel the mystery left hanging by the season one finale.

Again, I want this show to start real soon or I will go mad.  And YAY, we'll be seeing more of Isaac.  I knew I hadn't seen the last of that hot bitch.

On the rumor side of things, David Anders of Alias fame is all but confirmed to play the part of next season’s central villain Kane.  Kane is apparently over a thousand years old and has a lust for power that is a little more elegant than Sylar.  If you believe the word on the streets, the little cockroaches that we see whenever Sylar is in trouble, well they’ve been a little more helpful than we would have ever imagines.

An anonymous source is telling BuddyTV to pay careful attention to the bugs first appearance.  Sylar was successfully subdued at the Primatech facility when we first saw a cockroach scamper by, then he wasn’t.   In the finale, he was run through and bleeding out and what did we see crawling near the man hold cover where he apparently made his escape?  A cockroach.   Hmmm.  Cause for the suspicion of course.

Aside from the alleged ability to control hordes of insects, a suitably biblical power for a villain named Kane, not much is known about the new character.  The good thing is, unlike LOST fans, we’ll only have to wait a few more months to find out.

Nick D'Agosto has landed a major recurring role on NBC's hit sci-fi drama "Heroes" for next season.

On the Universal Media Studios series, he will play Claire's (Hayden Panettiere) boyfriend, West, who is said to have "a very cool superpower."

D'Agosto is the second new addition to the cast of "Heroes" for next season, joining recently appointed new regular Dania Ramirez.

This past development season, D'Agosto co-starred opposite Marisa Tomei in CBS' comedy pilot "The Rich Inner Life of Penelope Cloud." Last year, he played the male lead opposite Mena Suvari in another CBS pilot, the drama "Orpheus."

D'Agosto will next be seen in the indie "Rocket Science," which premiered to strong reviews at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

 

He is repped by ICM, manager Faras Rabadi and attorney Mitch Smelkinson.

LOS ANGELES (June 13, 2007) -- While "Heroes" fans have been wondering what will become of the show's resident evil-doer Sylar, Access Hollywood breaks some news on the super-powered villain's future on the show.

Zachary Quinto, who plays Sylar on the hit NBC drama, will return as a series regular next season, a rep for the actor confirmed to Access.

As Season One ended, it appeared everyone's favorite group of mutants might have finally thwarted Sylar's plans for destruction once and for all as Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) thrust his samurai sword into Sylar's chest.

However as the show ended, a quick pan back to the scene of the attack revealed a blood trail leading from where Sylar's body lay into the sewer, suggesting our villain wasn't quite done yet.

Before he stepped into the breakthrough role as the power-sucking "Hero," Quinto appeared in guest spots on "CSI," "Touched By An Angel," Charmed" and "Six Feet Under."

According to his bio, Quinto "would next love to play a young Spock in a the new 'Star Trek' movie."

Ain't that a bitch.  Methinks Tim Kring should just blow Zachary and get the fangirl out of his system.  This is the first depressing news I hear from the upcoming season.  I like Zachary, but I'm way over Sylar by now.  This whole stealing other HEROES powers is gonna get very old (I'm already tired of it).  If he is gonna stick around, please let him have a different evil masterplan...like world domination.  I would love to see him recruit other anti-HEROES to join his villainous team instead of taking their powers.  One thing gives me hope.  The new big-bad that is being introduced is way worse than Sylar.  He/she might kill Sylar or make him more endearing.  I'm not thinking clear right now...this news has me feeling a little discombobulated.

The LA Daily News reports that shooting starts next week on the second season of "Heroes" and that the show is casting for several possible recurring characters.

The include: a pretty and kind elementary school teacher; a hippie-ish high school chemistry teacher; a Kinko's store manager; a small-time Irish mobster; and a California high school girl who isn't especially athletic.

Deborah in Mountain View, California: I love the Sanders family on Heroes. Are we going to see D.L. and Niki reconnect?

I asked that very question of Ali Larter and Leonard Roberts recently. Ali says: "It's definitely a complicated situation. We deal with one character really taking a big, strong stance, so it definitely makes for a complicated affair." And Leonard is right there with you! He says, "It's my hope that D.L. and Niki find their way back to each other, because I think there's something special there."

 

Shawna in Yonkers, New York: Hayden Panettiere is back on Heroes in season two, right? Any word on what's in store for our little Clairebear?

I asked Hayden what she wants for Claire. Here's what she told me: "This show has been so broad, and it's been such an incredible thing that it seems like it can go anywhere and that she can go anywhere, so I'd like to see a change of location maybe. Toward the end of the season, I'd like to see her get a little bit of a change of style—more sophisticated, growing into her own. I'd like to see a boy in the horizon somewhere, which I've heard rumors of." Ooh-la-la!

I hear ya, girl. But the good news is the cast actually starts filming new episodes next week, so spoilers are starting to leak out! I'm hearing a bit of The Black Donnellys may have rubbed off on Heroes, as they're welcoming a new recurring character named Will, aka Blackie, an Irish mobster who's mixed up in small-time crime!

Yep. I'm hearing we'll meet a new character who's been alive for 1,000 years. And sadly, he will not be played by David Boreanaz. I'm pretty sure it's the character David Anders is in the running for, but not sure.

That's all she has for us today.  A character who's been alive for 1,000 years?  I wonder how that's gonna play out.  I wonder if David Anders will play that character.  I wonder if this 1,000 year old character is the bad guy Molly was talking about.  Kristin hurry up with the HEROES intel.

Yay, more pics.  I truly stumbled upon these pictures.  It's Hayden and Zachary hanging out.  I would be creaming my pants if I saw these two headed towards me.  I'd be a big pile of chicken shit and probably avoid them...unless Milo was with them and then I'd bum-rush them.
